The record builds on the sound the band developed across \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDream Life\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMedia\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, pushing their collision of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003epost-punk, post-hardcore, shoegaze, noise rock, and art rock\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e into something heavier and more immediate.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCor de Lux thrive on contrasts. Guitars can shift from atmospheric shimmer to serrated noise without warning, while bass and drums give the songs a physical, restless momentum. Dawn Moraga and Tim Lusk’s guitars and vocals sit at the center of that push and pull, joined by bassist John Bliven and drummers Jacob Richardson and Thomas Swinn-McNeely across the sessions.
