Navigations Volume I–III feels like a series of quiet signals sent out and left unanswered, drifting through space rather than aiming for destination.

Released in 2016, the collection gathers three EP-length works that trace Martial Canterel’s early development, moving through darkwave, minimal synth, and ambient-adjacent territory with patience and restraint. Heard together, the pieces emphasize continuity of mood over evolution, creating a sense of suspended time rather than forward motion.

Soft synth pulses, minimal rhythmic figures, and generous negative space define the sound throughout. Vocals remain understated and distant, often secondary to atmosphere, which reinforces the feeling of isolation and inward focus that runs across all three volumes.
