Bites gathers early Skinny Puppy material into a document of a band still forming its language, already pushing electronics into darker, more confrontational territory. It sits at the intersection of post-industrial experimentation and emerging EBM, where structure is secondary to texture and mood.

Synths grind and warp, rhythms feel mechanical but unstable, and the production leans into distortion and unease. The arrangements shift unpredictably, more like assembled fragments than traditional songs. Vocals arrive processed and fractured, adding to the sense of disorientation.

Bites works as both entry point and origin story. It captures Skinny Puppy before refinement, when the sound was raw, exploratory, and already pointing toward something far more influential.
