Album cover with a stylized human figure and text on a plain background

Mkultra ‎- Immobilise

Vinyl, 12", 45 RPM, Single

Immobilise sounds like pressure being applied slowly and without mercy, locking industrial music into a rigid, oppressive frame that never fully releases.

Released in 1987, the album places M|KULTRA firmly within the harsher edge of electro industrial, where repetition and severity outweigh groove or spectacle. There is little interest here in accessibility or relief. Instead, the record commits to control, tension, and endurance, reflecting a period when industrial music leaned hard into confrontation and physical impact.

Mechanical rhythms grind forward with cold precision, layered with corrosive synth textures and relentless sequencing. Vocals are clipped, hostile, and often buried within the machinery, reinforcing the sense that human presence is being subsumed rather than expressed.

Immobilise is not designed for casual listening. It rewards immersion and tolerance, offering a dense and punishing experience for listeners drawn to industrial music at its most disciplined, unyielding, and uncompromising.

How we grade vinyl

All used vinyl are fully tested to ensure accuracy. We follow the Goldmine standard and grade conservatively.

Here’s how we rate:

  • Mint (M): Perfect, sealed, or unplayed.
  • Near Mint (NM): Looks and plays like new with minimal signs of handling.
  • Very Good+ (VG+): A few light cosmetic marks or faint surface noise.
  • Very Good (VG): Noticeable wear and some background noise, but no skips or major flaws.
  • Good (G): Heavier wear and noise, but still listenable.
  • Fair (F): Heavily worn or noisy—priced accordingly and sold as-is.
