Three years after their stunning “Dark Star” EP, Portland’s (OR) Nyx Division is making a full throttle comeback with their debut full length, “Midnight Lights”. Drawing sonic inspiration from everything from Killing Joke to Cocteau Twins to Thin Lizzy, the band continues to cut their sound from the cloth of post-punk classics while bedazzling it with disco, rock n roll, and heavy metal mastery – never shying away from the swirling dark melancholia of their primary influences, while fearlessly introducing the glitter and glam of disparate genres. 

This high octane album welcomes guitarist Justin Cory to the fold, seamlessly integrating striking leads, timeless hooks, and vivid melodies with the massive, infectious groove of the bass and dance-floor-ready drums. Soaring vocals illuminate themes of desire, the necessity of hope in hopeless times, and the power inherent in the will to survive; with a passion and impact sharp enough to cut glass and sure to have you singing along.
