The Power of Lard is where the project’s blueprint is fully realized.
Bringing together Jello Biafra and Al Jourgensen, this EP fuses industrial’s mechanical force with punk’s confrontational edge. The result is raw, aggressive, and intentionally unrefined.
The production leans into repetition and weight. Riffs grind forward, drum programming hits with a rigid, almost militaristic feel, and everything is coated in distortion. Biafra’s vocal delivery cuts through with urgency, delivering biting, satirical commentary that feels as sharp now as it did on release.
This is Lard at their most direct. No excess, no polish, just a focused blast of industrial punk that set the tone for everything that followed.
