Acumen Nation - Transmissions From Eville 2LP

Acumen Nation's legendary 1995 album Transmissions From Eville will be heading to the vinyl presses this fall as part of a new initiative by Cracknation Records and Distortion Productions. 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of an album that helped kick-start the mid 90's Coldwave movement in the U.S. industrial music scene. The single "Gun Lover" went on to be a staple on many DJs playlists around the country and catapulted Acumen Nation (then known only as Acumen) into the spotlight. With heavy guitars embedded in the lush electronic structure of Acumen's songs, Transmissions became a must have album for any fan of industrial music.

Label owner, Jim Semonik remarks "You have no idea how much it means to me to release this on Distortion. It's one of my all time favorites, second only to Acumen's second record, Territory=Universe. I'm very lucky and grateful to have known Jason Novak for 20 plus years and I can't wait to share this record with a new audience and long time friends and fans. This is a big fucking deal."

Transmissions From Eville will come as a 2LP Translucent Red Vinyl in a gatefold sleeve and will include some bonus material. Side 4 includes a cover of Siouxsie & The Banshees' Monitor, a live version of Anchorite, a rare song called Ultraviolent and a remix of Matador.
