Released in 2025, Lézire finds Crush Of Souls continuing to carve out their own corner of the contemporary dark underground. Led by Charles Rowell of Crocodiles, the project draws from gothic rock, post-punk, coldwave, and synth-driven electronics, but approaches those influences with a loose, almost psychedelic sensibility rather than strict genre revivalism.

Brooding basslines and drum machines provide the pulse while wiry guitars, shadowy synthesizers, and layers of reverb create a dense nocturnal atmosphere. The production has a distinctly European feel, balancing the austerity of coldwave with the sleaze and swagger of underground rock. Rowell’s vocals sit naturally within that world, detached one moment and feverishly expressive the next.
