On this release, French Police refine the sound that’s made them a standout in modern coldwave. The lo-fi haze of earlier work gives way to something more focused and deliberate, without losing the emotional distance that defines the project.

Basslines carry that familiar, hypnotic pulse while guitars shimmer in restrained, melancholic lines. The drum machines are tight and minimal, letting the space between elements do just as much work as the sounds themselves. Vocals remain detached and introspective, drifting just above the instrumentation like a half-formed thought.

Bleu is less about expansion and more about precision. It captures French Police locking into their identity, dialing in the mood and letting it linger.
