Romance in Haunt Me’s world has always carried a shadow. On Watch You Bleed, that shadow gets sharper teeth.

Released in 2025, the San Antonio band’s second album expands their blend of darkwave, post-punk, goth rock, and new wave across twelve tracks. Haunt Me retain the nocturnal melancholy that defines their sound, but Watch You Bleed pushes harder into themes of obsession, heartbreak, lust, resentment, and horror, giving the record a darker and more visceral personality.

“Bloodlust” establishes the mood immediately, pairing romantic fixation with vampiric imagery, while the title track transforms the aftermath of a broken relationship into something considerably more vindictive. Elsewhere, “Cemetery Rendezvous” brings desire and gothic imagery together in classic deathrock fashion. Throughout the album, ghostly basslines, atmospheric guitars, synths, and driving rhythms keep one foot firmly planted on the darkwave dancefloor.

What keeps Watch You Bleed from becoming an exercise in goth aesthetics is the directness underneath it. Haunt Me write hooks that are immediate and emotionally legible, allowing the record to move naturally between post-punk melancholy, darkwave atmosphere, and more aggressive moments without losing its identity.

This first European pressing on Young & Cold Records comes on clear vinyl with red splatter and is limited to 444 copies, giving the album a physical edition perfectly matched to its blood-soaked aesthetic.
