Released in 2026 on Swiss Dark Nights, the self-titled debut from the Treviso, Italy duo of Silvia Marton and Marco Fontolan brings together post-punk, shoegaze, darkwave, and synth-driven electronics. Both arrive with experience in the Italian underground, including projects such as Kill Your Boyfriend, Cabaret Du Ciel, and Kitsune, but Lizzie In My Bed establishes an identity distinctly its own.

Across eight tracks, thick guitars and electronic rhythms coexist with more spacious, dreamlike arrangements. “Wipeout” opens with a rush of noisy post-punk, while “Blue Screen” balances rhythmic tension with ethereal atmosphere. “Mayfly” brings a sweeter melodic streak, “Witch On The Lips” slips into something more mysterious and cinematic, and the nearly nine-minute “Moon Echoes” closes the record in expansive, hypnotic fashion.

There are traces of Curve, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, This Mortal Coil, and The Cure in the duo’s approach, alongside electronic influences ranging from New Order to Kraftwerk. Yet the most intriguing moments come when those reference points blur together. Guitars dissolve into electronics, post-punk rhythms drift toward shoegaze, and Marton’s vocals add an alluring sense of distance to Fontolan’s layered instrumentation.

This limited clear transparent vinyl edition is one of 500 copies, giving the duo’s debut a suitably distinctive first physical pressing.

Lizzie In My Bed is an impressive introduction: nocturnal and atmospheric without sacrificing momentum, equally comfortable in shoegaze haze and darkwave pulse. It’s a strong new entry from the contemporary Italian dark music underground.
