Released in 2025, the EP marked the Los Angeles duo’s return with their first substantial new Youth Code material in years. Sara Taylor and Ryan George pick up the project’s collision of EBM, industrial, hardcore, and noise without softening any of its impact, delivering a compact set built from punishing electronics and raw aggression.

Taylor’s vocals remain the weapon at the center of Youth Code’s sound, moving between barked commands and full-throated screams while distorted synths, hammering programmed percussion, and serrated electronic textures churn underneath. George’s production draws heavily from the physicality of old-school EBM and industrial without treating either as museum pieces. The rhythms hit with the force of hardcore, giving the music an urgency that separates Youth Code from more polished corners of the contemporary dark electronic scene.

That fusion has always been the duo’s strength. Youth Code understand the shared DNA between the industrial club and the punk show: repetition, volume, confrontation, and bodies in motion. On Yours, With Malice, those elements are compressed into something particularly vicious and immediate.

After a lengthy stretch without a proper standalone Youth Code release, Yours, With Malice is less a cautious reintroduction than a reminder of what made the duo so formidable in the first place.
